Stein Gerontological Institute

The Stein Gerontological Institute is the educational and research component of Miami Jewish Health Systems, dedicated to teaching and training health care professionals in geriatrics. Since 1976, it has been fostering innovation in the care, treatment and service of seniors—not only for the Miami Jewish Nursing Facility, but also for 40 other care facilities in the U.S.

Besides significantly improving the quality of care for seniors, Stein Gerontological Institute is also a leading force in numerous clinical trials. These trials include identifying vitamin deficiencies, testing medication and others in the goal of ensuring high quality and long-term care for this older population.

In addition, The Stein Gerontological Institute is home to Florida’s first teaching program for long-term care and online geriatrics university, known as GeriUTM.
